OJUAMI, derived from the Yoruba word for “point,” is a fashion brand rooted in Nigerian heritage and inspired by a love for beautiful, expressive style.

Founded by a Nigerian-American woman with a lifelong appreciation for African fashion, OJUAMI began as a personal vision in 2017. What started as an idea grew into a brand created to celebrate the beauty of African fashion through a distinctly personal point of view.

Today, OJUAMI brings together culture, elegance, individuality, and style through thoughtfully selected pieces designed to make an impression.

02 / OUR BEGINNING A vision years in the making

It started with an idea.

The idea for OJUAMI first began in 2017.

As a Nigerian-American, my connection to African fashion was deeply personal. The vibrant fabrics, beautiful silhouettes, intricate details, and rich cultural expression were not simply sources of inspiration. They were familiar, meaningful, and deeply appreciated.

OJUAMI grew from a desire to share that beauty while creating space for individual expression. The vision was never to define what African fashion should be, but to celebrate its richness and the many ways it can be worn, interpreted, and enjoyed.

After years of carrying the idea, OJUAMI officially launched in 2025. Since then, the original vision has continued to grow, with the support of family and loved ones along the way.
